OPEN A QUALIFYING CITIBANK CHECKING ACCOUNT: Open a qualifying checking account (in the Citibank Account “CBA”, Citibank Everything Counts Account “ECA”, or CitiGold® Account relationship packages) with a minimum deposit of one thousand dollars ($1,000) and enroll account in ThankYou Network during the Sweepstakes Period and you will automatically be entered into the Sweepstakes; 2.) CITIBANK DEBIT CARD TRANSACTION: Checking account enrollees in ThankYou Network who use their linked Citibank debit card displaying the MasterCard® logo for eligible signature based purchase transactions will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes for each such transaction made during the Sweepstakes Period. An eligible signature based transaction is defined as “When presenting your debit MasterCard in person, press ‘credit’, and sign the receipt. For all U.S. Mail entries, enter as often as you wish, but each entry must be mailed in a separate envelope. No photocopies or mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Related Entities (as defined below) are not responsible for any lost, late, delayed, illegible, incomplete, mutilated, postage due, or misdirected entries, mails, transactions or checking account applications or entries which otherwise do not comply with these Official Rules; and all such entries, mail, applications and transactions will be disqualified. Account adjustments, transactions/returns, PIN-based and international transactions, late payment fees, over-limit or over-draft fees, return check fees, check re-order fees, cash advances, annual fees, balance transfers and/or other fees assessed on the debit card account will be considered ineligible entries. Entries via unauthorized, lost, stolen, or fraudulent Citibank debit cards or card numbers are void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open only to legal residents of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States and the District of Columbia who are age 18 or older who have a valid tax payer identification number at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors and agents of Citibank, N.A. (hereinafter, “Sponsor”), Centra Marketing & Communications LLC (hereinafter, “Promoter”), and Arc Worldwide and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, sales representatives, distributors, retailers, advertising/promotion agencies (collectively, “Related Entities”) , and the immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or household members of each, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes or win a prize. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner if selected winning entry is based on an eligible Citibank Debit Card purchase or opening a qualifying checking account, the winner will be deemed to be the person designated by Citibank as the primary owner of the debit card or account (as applicable) used for entry. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The random drawing will be conducted on or about 1/30/09 by Centra Marketing & Communications, an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received from all entry methods combined. Potential winners will be notified by U.S. Mail and/or e-mail on or about 2/17/09. If a prize notification is returned as undeliverable, a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or a prize cannot be awarded to a potential winner for any other reason, that prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among the remaining eligible entries received. In no event will more than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules be awarded. PRIZES AND THEIR APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”): TWO (2) GRAND PRIZES: Each Grand Prize consists of one million (1,000,000) ThankYou Points to redeem for merchandise, gift cards, and services valued at up to $20,000. ARV: up to $20,000 per Grand Prize; FOUR (4) FIRST PRIZES: Each First Prize consists of five hundred thousand (500,000) ThankYou Points to redeem for merchandise, gift cards, and services valued at up to $10,000. ARV: up to $10,000 per First Prize; and TEN (10) SECOND PRIZES: Each Second Prize consists of one hundred thousand (100,000) ThankYou Points to redeem for merchandise, gift cards, and services valued at up to $2,000. ARV: up to $2,000 per Second Prize; TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES: up to $100,000. Actual value of any prize may vary depending on the merchandise, gift cards, and services redeemed by winners using their ThankYou Points. Each Prize is subject to the terms and conditions of ThankYou Network. In addition, Winners may not redeem their prizes for international business class travel using ThankYou Network’s fixed flight option. All ThankYou Points must be redeemed by 12/31/2012. Any ThankYou Points remaining after this date will be forfeited. In the event a winner is selected from the U.S. Mail Entry Method and the winner is not enrolled in ThankYou Network, that winner will be required to enroll in ThankYou Network for free to redeem his/her prize. Winners who are owners of an eligible Citibank checking account or Citibank debit card must be in good standing at the time of Entry and at the time of the Prize Award. In the event an owner of an eligible Citibank checking account or Citibank debit card is not in good standing at the time of the Prize Award, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the winner will be disqualified and, at Sponsor’s discretion, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. All prizes are non-transferable. No substitutions or cash redemptions, except as stated herein. In the event a prize is unavailable, Sponsor in its sole discretion, will award a prize of comparable or greater retail value. Sponsor will not provide any cash substitution for any unused ThankYou Points by the expiration date. Potential winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days of notification attempt or the prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be selected. In the event that a potential winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her state of residence, prize may, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, be awarded in the name of a parent or legal guardian who must sign and return all required documentation and otherwise fulfill all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Each potential winner will be required to supply his/her social security number for tax reporting purposes. All winners will be solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes on prizes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. GENERAL: Sweepstakes void in Alaska, Hawaii, outside the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States and the District of Columbia and where prohibited. Sponsor may prohibit individuals from participating in Sweepstakes and disqualify entries if they (1) attempt to enter the Sweepstakes through any means other than as described in these Official Rules, (2) attempt to disrupt the Sweepstakes or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules in any way or (3) repeatedly show a disregard for these Official Rules or act (a) in an unsportsmanlike manner, or (b) with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor. Sponsor’s decisions with respect to the Sweepstakes are final and binding. In the event the Related Entities are prevented from continuing with this Sweepstakes, or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Sweepstakes is undermined by any event including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute, or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state , provincial or local government law, order of regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within the Related Entities’ control (each a “Force Majeure” event), the Related Entities shall have the right, in their sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Sweepstakes without notice or further obligation. If the Related Entities, in their discretion, elect to abbreviate, cancel or terminate the Sweepstakes as a result of a Force Majeure event, the Related Entities reserve the right, but shall have no obligation, to award the prize from among all non-suspect, valid and eligible entries received up to the time of such Force Majeure event.
